Ticket vending machinesThe barcode tickets for single journeys and the compatible ISO 15693 chip cards for the skiing operations are issued there. Vending machines of this type are becoming more and more popular, 7 of them having been installed in the French ski resort Valberg. Smart TVM AX 500 User guidance is provided on a TFT monitor. Payment is cashless using a credit card. Dispensing without cash means that there is no danger of the vending machine being broken into and makes it easy to maintain. Access control for sports stadiumsThe Stade Rennais is the first football stadium in France to install 40 Smart Axess Terminals. This double turnstile technology which was developed specifically for such pedestrian entrances has thus proved itself to be particularly successful – with installations also in Austria (Salzburg) and Germany (Cologne, Nuremberg, Dortmund, Leipzig).
Unique escape lane solution
Until now, flap-down uprights were only familiar to us from road transport. Axess has adapted this principle and developed a lane separator which sinks into the ground at the touch of a button. In conjunction with the SmartAccess Terminal, this opens up an escape lane which is 1.20 meters wide. Certified by the Technical Supervisory Agency (TUV), this solution was accepted for the Westfalenstadion in Dortmund by the public authorities. This is a great advantage when space is restricted or in existing buildings.
The ticket scanner reads all formats, from “home printed” through to the ISO 14443 chip card. The successful application at the FIFA World Cup 2006 in Germany is proof of this. Electronic Fare Collection
Axess has already supplied systems for swimming pools and busses for the public power and transportation company in Klagenfurt in the “Faible” project. The next step in this project is to integrate vehicle parkings, starting with an innovative Park&Ride solution. The task was to reserve the Park&Ride parking spaces for the passengers of the busses. Axess developed a Park & Ride system for this purpose based on the modules of the AX 500 family. When users drive into a parking space they are issued with an entry ticket. On the bus this ticket is exchanged for a bus ticket. A passenger can pass through the car park’s exit barrier on the same day using this bus ticket. This demonstrates the benefits of the modularity offered by Axess systems. Ticketing and car parksWhether an exhibition centre, a stadium, a swimming pool or even a ski lift is involved, all these locations have car parks and often want to make these available primarily to their guests. For applications like this, Axess has co-operated with Designa to develop a compatible parking system. In future, visitors will be able both to use the car park and pay for the entry ticket at the same POS in a single transaction with a single chip card.
