AXESS entrance system for Red Bull New York

When it comes to soccer, AXESS is a major player! To guarantee that everything runs smoothly from the points of entry onwards, more and more stadiums are relying on AXESS entrance systems. In the new Red Bull Arena in New Jersey/USA, for example, where 38 turnstiles from AXESS ensure fast and secure admission for Red Bull New York fans to the 25,000 seats, 30 boxes, and 1,000 club seats. The Red Bull Arena has set a new benchmark for North American stadiums; it is the first "real" soccer stadium with a European "football" atmosphere and European standards of entrance management. As can already be found at the Red Bull Arenas in Salzburg and Leipzig or at the newest stadiums in Augsburg, Ingolstadt and Cairo.

AXESS premieres at the "Messe Muenchen"

Register on the Internet, pay with a credit card, print your ticket at home and walk through the turnstile - that is how quick and easy it is now to visit the “Messe Muenchen”. The new point of sale (POS) and entry control systems from AXESS make it all possible; they were first employed at the productronica 2009. After a rigorous evaluation of the systems on the market, the “Messe Muenchen” decided to replace the obsolete magnetic card technology with a modern system by AXESS. The ergonomically ideal solution offered by the AXESS card reader and the AXESS data centre’s modern software architecture were important criteria in making this decision. Parallel to the introduction of the AXESS system, the visitor registration software was also completely revamped and fully interconnected with the new AXESS POS and entry control system.

Committed to culture: Axess and the 2009 Salzburg Festival

Three weeks before the Salzburg Festival will formally open its summer season, thousands of residents and tourists came to the open house at the House for Mozart and the Great Festival Hall to receive information about the proposed summer schedule. On this occasion, artists and organizers joined together to give visitors a taste of the Festival productions that will be offered during the upcoming season. Thanks to the AX 500 turnstile system, Axess delivered real-time information on the number of visitors that were present in the "halls or art" at any given time.

Russia is building a new Ski Dome in their capitol Moskau, which will become one of the biggest indoor ski centres in the whole world. This off course also reflects to the ticketing: all visitors get RFID chipcards for handsfree access to the slopes. The ski passes get checked at 7 AX500 SmartGates. POS and ticket control software is done by ISD, a Russian Partner of Axess AG.

Simply flexibel: AX500 FlexSpace eliminates memory problems

To manage multiple skipasses or other tickets such as entrances to fitness places, concert halls etc. on one chipcard nowadays was limited by the low memory of such chipcards. Up to 15 different passes for skiing, boat trips, public transport etc. easily fit into one chipcard based on a well proven and very fast technology.

Not all suppliers deliver the products that they sell. This bitter experience was realized by the Norwegian ski resort Tryvann in the season 2006/07. The ticket vending machines that they ordered were in fact, not delivered at all. After only one year of operation, the entire existing system was replaced in the fall of 2007 by the state of the art Axess System AX500.

Accordingly, the requirements for an entrance system were very high. Besides having multiple ticket providers for the different events and soccer games, the security issue was a big one.
Shortly after having been put into operation, the new Flap Gates at Solitude have become the new attraction to the skiers.
