Axess inspires with product innovations for exhibition and congress centers
Thanks to intensive cooperation with renowned exhibition and congress centers in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, Axess AG further expanded its range this year with innovative hardware and software. Products such as the Axess BADGE BOX 600, the Axess SMART SCANNER 600 and a new online ticket shop with an extension for the straightforward legitimization and registration of trade visitors were developed. The new solutions are already being used by existing Axess customers, such as BERNEXPO and the Leipziger Messe exhibition center: In addition, Axess recently acquired Messe Friedrichshafen as a new customer.
Already in 2011, Axess was the first company to develop a pioneering solution for badge printing directly at the gate in order to optimize the registration process for exhibitions. At that time, the system was implemented for Messe Düsseldorf. The successor, Axess BADGE BOX 600, was presented at BERNEXPO AG in 2016/17. In the future, visitors to BERNEXPO exhibitions will be able to go directly to the gate with the Print@Home/Wallet Ticket from the webshop and get their badges upon entry. Leipziger Messe, Axess AG's longtime customer, also set up 10 new entrances this year with Axess BADGE BOX 600.
This year, a new generation of scanners was launched with Axess SMART SCANNER 600. This now combines the successful modules "AX500 Ticket Scanner and AX500 Controller" in one device. During development, focus was also placed on the exhibition market. Thanks to the "in and out sensor", this allows the Axess SMART SCANNER to be used as an entrance and exit reader simultaneously. The new high-resolution touch display, the size of an iPad Mini, now offers more space and creative possibilities to communicate with guests in a multimedia way, and to position individual greetings and advertising. The Axess SMART SCANNER 600 quickly and reliably detects 1D & 2D bar codes (QR CODE), Print@Home tickets, vouchers and electronic tickets on smartwatches and smartphones. As an option, the reading table can be retracted for this purpose.
Innovative all-in-one system for exhibitions
At Axess, all software and hardware is made in-house. This rules out integration problems, especially interface problems, since it is centrally networked in the Axess DATACENTER. This year, the smart all-in-one solution for exhibitions was expanded with the new ticket shop, which includes the extension for straightforward visitor legitimization and registration. The process of registering and legitimizing visitors to exhibitions, congresses and events - which ensures participant quality - is usually a time-consuming process. By integrating visitor legitimacy, Axess has now further optimized this online sales channel - also thanks to the cooperation with BERNEXPO.
Improved user experience
In the new Axess ticket shop for exhibitions, congresses and events, the buyer now has various options for providing proof of legitimacy. Organizers can easily and immediately check this data and carry out further steps centrally. Import, filter and export functions are also available for easy administration; optimal data quality is ensured by a duplicate check.

Following successful legitimation, trade visitors receive their tickets either as a Print@Home ticket or as a wallet. Thanks to the Axess BADGE BOX 600, these are transformed into personalized visitor badges at the entrance in just seconds. These and other innovations not only now ensure leaner processes for organizers, but also improve the user experience for guests.
