Axess Americas is a leading supplier of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) access control systems. We are looking to expand our team of RFID specialists to support customers in North and South America. We are looking for a self-starter with a technical background who enjoys the alpine lifestyle. The right candidate must be willing to travel to ski resorts throughout the North American market (approximately 25% of the time) to install and support the Axess resort solution.
Axess Americas is headquartered in Park City, UT. We seek a candidate located in Park City, UT who can support our growing customer base in this North-West region of the US. This is a year-round position.
All applicants must have a valid passport, driver’s license, be at least an intermediate skier or snowboarder and willing to answer the demands of our resort clients, seasonal needs.
Ideal candidates are familiar with modern ticketing solutions, know how to provide excellent customer service and have basic IT troubleshooting skills. Axess Americas is willing to train the right individual who is looking for a long-term position in this exciting expanding field.
As member of the Axess Americas’ team, the Project Manager will work closely with Axess Americas staff, Axess Austria staff, and customers of Team Axess. Due to the seasonality of the Axess customer base, which is primarily ski resorts, duties and responsibilities can be loosely categorized into “in-season” and “off-season” periods. In-season is defined as months from November 1st, to April 30th. Off-season is defined as the months from May 1st, to October 31st. Note: these are general guidelines intended to give potential applicants an idea of position’s typical duties and responsibilities based on calendar months. The position is expected to fulfill all essential duties and responsibilities defined here, no matter what month of the year.
During the off-season, the Project Manager (PM) may be assigned new Axess RFID customer implementations and will be responsible for the project management of these installations. Typically, the PM will be introduced to the customer by the Sales team and be responsible for the customer from the handoff from Sales to a system go-live. Successful applicants will learn Axess’ internal Project Management process and be responsible for executing the established steps defined in the process. This will include but is not limited to: customer site visits, order placement, working with production to ensure accuracy of hardware ordered and delivered, hardware setup at the customer site, overseeing and guiding customer staff responsible for assisting with hardware setup, software setup and configuration, user training and system acceptance.
During the in-season months, the Project Manager’s role shifts to providing support for Axess Americas’ customers. The support will be for Axess hardware and software systems in place at all customer sites. Customer sites are primarily ski resorts but may include fitness clubs, recreation centers, water parks, attractions, stadiums or any other industry requiring an access control solution. The position will use helpdesk software to track support requests and will follow Axess Americas’ internal service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure a reasonable resolution is provided to the customer within defined SLA targets.
Regardless of the calendar month, during normal business hours, the position will be part of a team of staff which shall take turns fielding customer support requests, scheduling system maintenance, troubleshooting Axess hardware, sourcing and shipping replacement parts, and providing software support for any Axess native system or Axess interface. The position will also participate in an on-call rotation to provide weekend and after hours customer support.
Successful applicants will familiarize themselves with the different customer facing Axess applications and interfaces; both onsite (at customer locations) and hosted, in order to be able to provide support to customers who use the systems on a daily basis. Additionally, learning the primary modules of the Axess SmartPOS system is a requirement for this role.
The position shall continuously seek out opportunities to improve the customer experience. This may include sourcing new technology when appropriate, periodically revisiting established processes to evaluate overall effectiveness and ease of use and/or changing product setup.
